Tax cuts, anytime, anywhere tax cuts.....is a conservative economic principle. Republicans cut taxes for their base, the 5%, while putting those cuts on the charge card. That's what Republican economics looks like.....everytime. I challenge you to bring forward an example of a modern GOP president who didn't do exactly what I just typed. Anyway, the point is that GOP leadership didn't count the cost of their war of choice. They didn't care anything about it. They cut freaking capital gains and dividend tax rates at the height of military expenditures in Iraq. Limited government and low taxes are subjective word groups. How limited, who does the limiting, how low and for who......what's important is the priorities. The last 8 years have been a non-stop mess of misguided priorities.
