The covered bridge festival takes place in Ashtabula, Ohio, the second weekend in October. This year's festival will be Oct. 11 and 12, and visitors will have the opportunity to see their newest bridge, the longest covered bridge in the nation. Unfortunately after the park closed for the season in 2007, owner Cedar Fair decided not to reopen the amusement park, and they are in the process of selling off the rides.
