Cedar Point will be closed on September 5, and 6, for a private party, but will be open to the public on Sunday, September 7.  Then it's time for Halloweekends, beginning September 12, and continuing weekends until Halloween.

We are coming from Michigan to take our kids to Sea World, but can't find any information, can you help?

Unfortunately you'll have to drive a little farther to find Sea World.  The park in Ohio was sold to Six Flags in 2001, and ultimately was closed when Cedar Fair bought the entire complex.  Now our closest Sea World is in Orlando Florida, for information call 800-327-2424.

The Miller Ferry Line provides both passenger and vehicle transportation from Catawba Point to the Lake Erie Islands of South Bass and Middle Bass.  Ferries run about every half hour spring, summer and fall but only if weather permits during the winter.   Reservations are a must for vehicles, call 800-500-2421 or visit www.millerferry.com.

Where's the best place for bird watching in Ohio?

Ron asks "do you know anything about a Confederate cemetery in Ohio?

The Johnson's Island Confederate Prison was located on Lake Erie near Marblehead.   Over 9,000 Confederate prisoners passed through the gates and 206 soldiers died and were buried there.  A causeway connects the one-mile-long island to the southern edge of the Marblehead peninsula allowing visitors to explore this historic site, open from dawn to dusk year-round.
