Can you tell me about a serpent mound in Ohio?

by Betty on May 31, 2008

The Serpent Mound located in Peebles, Ohio, is the largest and finest serpent effigy in the United States. It was built by ancient moundbuilders, and today is managed by the Ohio Historical Society. The Serpent Mound State Memorial is located at 3850 State Route 73, about 4 miles northwest of Locust Grove in Adams County. For more information call 800-752-2757 or visit www.ohiohistory.org/places/serpent.
