The lighthouse at the tip of the Cedar Point peninsula was built in 1839. The picturesque Cedar Point Lighthouse standing today was built in 1862, and used until 1909. Today the lighthouse is the centerpiece for the cottages and cabins of Lighthouse Point, a great place to stay while visiting Cedar Point.
